Company Overview: Our client, a leading provider in the logistics and transportation industry, specializes in drayage and container management services and all other modes of transportation. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Drayage Sales Executive to join their team and help expand their business in the Northwest Houston area. We hire the right people, not the right resumes.
Position Summary: The Drayage Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of drayage and intermodal logistics, coupled with exceptional sales and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Identify and target potential customers in need of drayage and intermodal transportation services.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing tailored logistics solutions and exceptional customer service.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements in alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Track and report sales activity, pipeline development, and performance metrics to management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales within the logistics, transportation, or drayage sectors.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Strong knowledge of drayage, intermodal transportation, and container logistics.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong business acumen.
Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
