CNC / Plasma Table Operators
Capital Professional Staffing is recruiting for experienced CNC Operators for the night shift of a growing structural steel and industrial fabrication operation in Tyler, Texas.
Candidates must have previous metal or steel shop experience and experience operating CNC fabrication equipment. Experience with CNC plasma tables, plate profiling, and burning steel plate is especially desirable.
The facility has new, state-of-the-art CNC and fabrication equipment and substantial production work underway.
• Operate CNC plasma cutting equipment used to profile and burn steel plate
• Load and run CNC programs for assigned production work
• Use basic CNC machine software and operator controls
• Review drawings, cut files, work orders, and production requirements
• Select and verify appropriate programs and machine settings
• Position and prepare steel plate for cutting operations
• Monitor cutting operations and make basic adjustments as necessary
• Verify dimensions and quality of finished parts
• Identify machine, program, or cut-quality problems and communicate issues when necessary
• Remove, identify, organize, and route finished parts to the appropriate fabrication area
• Perform basic machine inspections and routine operator maintenance
• Maintain material utilization and production efficiency
• Work closely with fitters, welders, and other fabrication personnel
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
• CNC machine operating experience required
• CNC plasma table or similar plate-processing experience strongly preferred
• Experience profiling and burning steel plate preferred
• Basic CNC software and machine-control experience
• Ability to read basic fabrication drawings and understand dimensions
• Strong measurement skills
• Understanding of steel plate and metal fabrication processes
• Ability to inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and cut quality
• Must be comfortable working around heavy steel and automated fabrication equipment
• Experience with nesting or CNC/CAM software is a plus
• $22-$25 per hour based on experience and qualifications
• Overtime paid in addition to base hourly rate

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
• Currently operating 7 days per week with substantial overtime• $22-$25 per hour based on experience and qualifications
• Overtime paid in addition to base hourly rate
