Capital Professionals is pleased to be assisting our 3PL Freight Brokerage client in their search for a Staff Accountant. This is an in-office position located in Dallas, TX. This is a salaried position with full benefits.
The Core responsibilities of the position include:
Post Daily bank transactions.
Post Daily A/R related cash receipts applications.
Daily Credit Card coding, processing, and reconciliation.
Daily, weekly, and monthly bank reporting.
Process weekly check runs.
Month end entries.
Balance sheet accounts reconciliations and posting of related entries.
Proactively researches and resolves issues with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
Assist with preparing after month end management reports.
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Must have a good understanding of GAAP.
Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
Fast learner and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
(V-lookups, Pivot tables).
Work collaboratively with team members and vendor contacts to follow up on vendor billing details and discrepancies completes other projects/responsibilities as assigned.
Special projects as needed.
Professional Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 3 years minimum experience.
Experience in the transportation/logistics (trucking) industry.
Billing and collection experience is a HUGE plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) with an emphasis on excel (knows v-lookups/Pivot tables)
Working knowledge of McCleod Software– preferred
Excellent Communication (written and verbal) skills with emphasis on professional phone and email etiquette.
